Friday the 13th and the 1st week of school is coming to an end. Thankfully it's been a good week. Matthew started football. He puked his 1st day at practice. I'm sure it won't be his last upchuck. He does seem to be enjoying it though. Kate has made the transition seamlessly. I'm not at all surprised. Matthew has too. woo hoo! It's another HOT day with crazy humidity...ICK! I didn't get my walk in today. Right Kidney is hurting and left foot is too. I've concluded flip flops are not my friend. OOOOOHHHHH how I love them so! what's a chubby chick to do?
I've been reading some of my favorite blogs and am slightly envious. I wish I had the kahunas to blog so candidly. I have typed up a few candid blogs...but just can't bring myself to hit the publish button. Why? you might ask. Well...for no other reason than I come off as a total Bitch. I don't think I am...90% of the time. But like a disgruntled flight attendant my buttons get pushed! Stupid will rear it's ugly head in and show itself in someone who gets put in my path and there are times when my attitude is less than pleasing to God! My behavior is certainly NOT what Jesus would do. I attribute this lapse in judgment succumbing to the things of this world. Being "in" it can inevitably get the best of anyone. As sad/offensive as some of my thoughts and behaviors are they are a part of what defines me. The good news is I don't share ALL my thoughts. (but oh how i would like to) However the bad news is I often feel like I need the release. (thank you andy for loving me in spite of it all & yay for the unpublished blogs!)
I've also decided that I too am fair game for criticism/bashing if need be. Coming to this conclusion has (in my opinion) given me the go ahead for stating my opinion on all things good, bad, ugly, and indifferent. So, here goes: Dear Mom of a particular set of athletes: Quit living vicariously through your kids. Staff are in place to make decisions best suited for the team perhaps you should support the staff and take your rightful place on the sideline and cheer on & support all participants. Less bitching just might make you tolerable to others...however I feel we'll never know. Dear former "friend" who gave me your bag of "fat" clothes because you no longer needed them: I saw you the other day at registration, did you want your clothes back? Ladies: boobs above the waistband of your britches please. They're far less distracting when they're (almost) where they belong. Men: shirts on if - 1)hair is anywhere other than chest area 2)6 pack is now a keg 3)you would spill out from an A cup
Good books I've read: (keep in mind several are for teens, as I spent 4 years reading material that jr. high girls would find interesting) Mother Daughter Book Club series; Secrets of my Hollywood life series; I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You series; Clique series; Jen Lancaster's' Memoirs - BITTER IS THE NEW BLACK, BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG ASS, SUCH A PRETTY FAT, PRETTY IN PLAID, MY FAIR LAZY (in progress - NOT teen); & Wild Girls. So if you're looking for good quick reads or perhaps your daughter is you just might enjoy some of the above.
Well this is it for me ...for now. Kathy Lee & Hoda are on. Prayers today for my friend Dawn she's back in the hospital w/ a low white count. Thanks! Oh, & thanks for reading, feel free to share your comments & thoughts.
